Okay, so let's here it. Team Edward or Team Jacob? If you pick Team Jacob you have to tell me why (and I don't want to hear b/c the actor is hotter-it's about the characters people not the actors) because I really have no idea why someone would not be team Edward.

If I were basing solely on the movies I would say Team Jacob not just because Robo doesn't do it for me(although he was much better in this last one) and Taylor is a better actor. But in the movie Edward is kind of creepy towards Bella the way he never fully opens his mouth when he talks to her.
It sort of gives me the creeps.
But being that I read the book before watching the movies I would say I am Team Edward because Edward is better for Bella. When she becomes a vampire you know it was just meant to be and in the books Jacob is a little whinny.
It could also have something to do with the fact that in my head Jacob looked like a little 12 year old boy with shaggy hair and Edward looked like Chace Crawford.
The Edward/Bella relationship is completely selfish. Not just on Edward's part, but on Bella's too. She tries to tempt him in more ways than one. Practically forces him to agree to something he absolutely does not want to do. Edward is possessive, doesn't trust her to take care of herself, and can offer her a future only of existing, not living.
Jacob, on the other hand, provides a selfless kind of love where he only wants what's best for Bella. Sure, he gets jealous and upset over her relationship with Edward, but if she were in a triangle with, say, Mike Newton, and chose Mike Newton over him, Jacob would have accepted it more easily because at least Mike Newton is alive and has a soul.
The fact that Edward is cold and Jacob is warm is not just a fact based on what they are. It's symbolic of their natures, too. Do you want the cold guy who's always brooding, or the warm guy who loves life and actually lives it?
Plus, let's face it. Jacob IS hotter. :-)
I think we can all agree that the movie Jacob is WAY hotter than the movie Edward... I mean really, I don't know what the casting director was thinking. There's no competition.
But....... book Edward is hotter than book Jacob. So, I am team Edward.
I would much rather cuddle up to something nice and HOT than something cold and pastey. wink!!!! I mean REALLY, REALLY.... how could you not want a guy like that to pick you up, run with you in his arms, and not break a sweat! wink!!!
